Vestry Elections
Five excellent nominations were received to fill three open seats of the 2025-28 Vestry class. Three accepted a candidacy: Tom Church, Tim Heath and Michelle Richardson. On April 6, at both services, voting members of the congregation will be asked to affirm the selection of these three members as a group.

Tom Church
I was raised Episcopalian. Retired from lengthy military service in 2005, followed by 10 years in the private sector; now consulting.
In 2014 my daughter (recent new mother) and I began a search for a new home church. We visited many and while our motivations varied, we both knew quickly that CtK Anglican was the right choice. I could see that God was very much alive in CtK then, as he surely is today!
I have enjoyed many years serving as an usher, dating back to the 8:30 a.m. service. The growth of the church, the purchase of the property and planned 84:1 upgrades speak to the vision and vitality of the congregation, as well as to challenges ahead. I am humbled to be considered for the CtK vestry, and would be honored to accept the great privilege and responsibility of serving.

Tim Heath
My wife, Karen, and I have been members of CTK for about two and a half years and I currently serve as an usher.
I was born in Virginia but grew up around the world in military bases. I became a Christian after college and attended Baptist and later Presbyterian churches until joining the PCA. While a member of Mclean Presbyterian Church, I founded the Brother in Christ Men's Ministry there. I have served as a Trustee at First Presbyterian Church, Arlington (PCUSA), and as a deacon at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Kailua, HI (PCA).
Karen and I have two boys, Lucas (17) and Edward (14). I work as a researcher and expert on China for the RAND Corporation and previously served in the US Army and various intelligence agencies.

Michelle B. Richardson
I am originally from Mississippi and grew up in a Christ-centered home, coming to know Christ as my Savior at a young age. I moved to DC in 1997 to work on Capitol Hill and recently joined a lobbying firm. Mike and I married in 2012 and merged his Orthodox Christian church practice with my Southern Baptist roots which led us to discover the Anglican Church.
At our previous parish, I served on the Pastoral Search Committee, helped organize community fellowships, and coordinate efforts with local ministry partners. After Ascension closed, we began attending CtK in the Summer of 2022 and joined shortly thereafter.
I volunteer regularly in the Children’s ministry. Our family participates in a small group near our Fort Hunt home. I hope to encourage others to find their place in the many ministries at CtK as we serve as witnesses and grow in our faith.
